The east coastline has well-earned reputation for it’s fresh farm-to-table local produce, so naturally your average ‘eggs on toast’ is immediately enhanced thanks to the chickens out the back and the bakery next door. The south coast food scene has been impressing foodie’s near and far for years now, with the added bonus of insta-worthy backdrops to boot.

Wild Patch Cafe - KIAMA
A favourite with the locals, Wild Patch actually started out as a stall at the local farmers market and were such a hit they decided to make things more permanent. The wholefood eatery have plenty of delish dishes for vegans, meat-eaters and everyone in-between. Their Byron Bay coffee and harbourside position make them a perfect breakfast destination before you hit Surf beach.

Sea Vista Cafe - GERRINGONG
Tucked away in dreamy Gerringong, Sea Vista Café boasts a clifftop view over Werri Beach. Offering both indoor and outdoor dining options, you can soak up some whale watching as well as your morning coffee. With a hearty Breakfast menu and a beetroot relish side to your avo toast to die for, you could just about say Sea Vista Café is Gerringong’s best kept secret.

The Dairy Bar - BERRY
Hidden down a laneway off Berry’s main stretch, this 1950’s style milk bar is making a splash with every dairy dish on their menu coming from local milk sourced from South Coast Dairy. From toasties’ to waffles they’ve got you and your lactose covered. While you’re there, in between milking the lush green view of farmlands, you can check out their ‘udderly’ epic selection of gelato! For breakfast? We’re here for it.

Hampden Deli – KANGAROO VALLEY
These guys are the real deal. The owners Nick Gardner and Stevie-Lee Bounader worked their way through fine dining restaurants across the state before they set up Hampden Deli, restaurant and the cooking school, so you know you’re getting the cream of the crop. Naturally, they source the finest local, fresh and seasonal ingredients, featuring classics transformed into gourmet delights. The Deli is Open Wednesday to Sunday.

Another one to please the whole family, this vegetarian eatery is a stone’s throw from the water’s edge. Filled with generous, earthly & unpretentious meals designed to make your tastebuds dance, you’ll find an extensive breakfast menu stacked with every food dream you’ve ever had! Side note, they have consistently excellent coffee, stunning views and a young, trendy vibe, we’d eat at Pilgrims 7 days a week if we were Husky locals.

Well known for their laidback coastal atmosphere, The Treehouse is the secret hideaway where all the cool kids hang. The transformed country cottage has a menu filled with generous, good-hearted fare, made with veggies from local farmers and ethically sourced meats. Everything on their menu be it Breakky or lunch, is honest and inspired to mouth water, so don’t miss this brekky spot on you trail down the coast!

With the tag line "dream, create, caffeinate" what’s not to love about this gorgeous little café meets homeware’s space in the heart of the of Kioloa. Sticking with our breakfast spots theme, there is an emphasis on fresh produce and interesting flavours, from breakfast pizza to the house granola.
